Alternative Treatment Technology (ATT)

Owners of ATT systems must hire a certified maintenance provider to inspect and maintain their system. An active contract with a certified maintenance provider must be maintained for the life of the system. Columbia Septic Services is a certified maintenance provider.

Some advanced treatment systems may require inspections more frequently than annually, according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Real estate transactions:

When buying a property with a septic system, it's crucial to have it inspected during the due diligence period.

Signs of trouble:

If you experience slow draining, sewage odors, or wet spots in your yard, you should schedule an inspection regardless of the regular schedule.
